Who We AreSt. Christopher's is a thriving five-generation parish. We have grown in size and spiritual strength from a small group of 40 members in 1956 to a community of 274 families. We gather for worship, study, and ministry in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. With an external focus on service in our community, outreach is an important part our ministry and who we are.
We are a diverse group of Christians with unique gifts and talents who are united through the awareness of God's presence in our lives. We invite you to share in our Christian life which we express through the Episcopal tradition. Through the ministries of Formation, Worship, Service, and Fellowship, we continually strive to support, equip, and strengthen each other on our spiritual journey and create a loving and comforting family which reflects God's love in our lives and in the world. |
Our HistorySt. Christopher's Episcopal Church was founded as a result of a survey made by St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Indianapolis to determine where new work of the church should be directed. A committee began working on the Carmel Project in 1956. The church assumed parish status in December of that year.
