"The Episcopal Church Welcomes You"![]() For as long as I can remember the Episcopal Church has used the phrase I’ve quoted above as its marketing slogan, its tagline. But to me, the phrase is much more than just an advertising motto. It represents the radical hospitality extended to all of us by Jesus who stretched out his arms of love on the cross to embrace us.
The spiritual leader of the Episcopal Church, Bishop Michael Curry, has written, “We … assert and we believe that ‘The Episcopal Church Welcomes You’ – all of you, not as merely a church slogan, but as a reflection of what we believe Jesus teaches us and at the core of the movement he began in the first century. The Episcopal Church welcomes all. All of us!” I couldn’t agree more. Whether you are looking for inspiring worship, a caring community, or a place from which to serve others, I invite you to visit St. Christopher’s. Sunday services are at 8:00 and 10:00 am. You’ll find a warm, vibrant and committed parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis. You’ll find comfort, challenge, and inspiration as our growing community searches for meaning and hope in our lives. Please join us as we experience the mystery of God, hear and wrestle with God's word, share Christ's presence in the sacrament, feel God's love in community, and leave strengthened to serve. We welcome people of every denomination or no church background at all, and whether you’re looking for a church home or just visiting the area. The Episcopal Church welcomes you. . . and we really mean it. Do you have questions? Would you like to learn more? Please feel free to contact us by email or phone, 317-846-8716, x11. |
