The Andres Library
The library was dedicated in 2009 in honor of The Rev. Anthony "Tony" Andres, a longtime rector at St. Christopher's. The Andres Library has become a hub of learning and community interaction with classes, book reviews, and Bible studies as well as individual quiet reflection.
The library has books for adults and for children, comfortable reading and discussion spaces, and is located adjacent to the sanctuary. Feel free to sign out books that interest you, and then return them to the basket on the left as you enter the room. Our collection is growing and the categories now include Children's Fiction/Non-fiction, Liturgy, Church History, Spiritual Growth, Women's Studies, and Reference. Library Catalog Access the online catalog to search for specific titles or browse the collection of books in The Andres Library. Book Reviews The Library Committee invites all of our parishioners and our guests to have fun and browse a few of the books in The Andres Library from time to time. New books are appearing every month for your perusal. If you find books in our library that are of special interest, and would like to share, we also invite you to write short book reviews so that we may publish them here or in The Weekly News. Please keep your reviews under 300 words for each book. We hope you have fun sharing the joy of reading and creating additional interest in our library books. You are invited to submit your book reviews or your review-related questions to Dick Carter by calling 317-569-5174 or via email. |
