Service to Others
A vital part of St. Christopher's ministry is outreach. The umbrella organization for coordinating these ministries is known as Service to Others (S2O). We partner with ministries of other churches and social service agencies, healthcare organizations, and global ministries in the belief that many coming together with small, consistent actions can produce important results. Our outreach supports multiple ministries in the categories of feeding, shelter, and health/well-being to serve the neediest in Hamilton and Marion Counties and beyond.
Three ministries, St. Christopher's Crops, the Knitting Ministry, and Take Them a Meal are unique to our mission. For all other outreach, we join forces with other organizations. Some of the organizations we work with are Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank, Gleaners Food Bank, and the Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center, Together we can do more good than any of us can do by ourselves.
Whether you want to volunteer for an annual seasonal project or something on a weekly or monthly basis, your time and talent will be appreciated by those who benefit from your commitment and St. Christopher's. Joining our outreach ministries is a great way to meet others and become involved in our caring community.
We invite you to join us, to explore the opportunities for personal fulfillment, community involvement and spiritual transformation that participation with St. Christopher's Service to Others ministries can offer.
