Neighborhood Crews
CARE, RESPOND, ENERGIZE, WELCOME
The purpose of the Community Crews is to break the larger community of faith into smaller defined geographic areas to better support each other and more quickly include new members.

Which crew is in my neighborhood? |
Five color-coded geographic areas mark the location of the Community Crews. Colored hearts on every member’s name tag indicates their Crew, i.e., the Blue Crew, Yellow Crew, Green Crew, Purple Crew or Red Crew. You will find a map showing the geographic boundaries of the Crews in the Lobby. You will find Crew members' names listed in the the back of the church phone directory.
When new families join St. Christopher’s, we put their pictures in the Lobby with their names so that people can get to know them. These pictures are bordered by the color of of the Neighborhood Crew. Crew members reach out to the new members to help them quickly feel at home within the St. Christopher’s family. |
What do the Neighborhood Crews do? |
Community Crews help foster friendships and at the same time fulfill our Christian duty to care for each other. Crew members may provide a meal or deliver one to a family in their Crew. As a member of a crew you may volunteer to take a hot casserole to a family with need. There are numerous other ways in which Crews can work together on outreach projects or social gatherings. For example, some crews have gone together to purchase the food and household items for Mary Riggs Neighborhood Center gift tubs at the Christmas season.
Finally, Crews provide the snacks, set up, and serve at Sunday Coffee Hours on a rotating basis. This is a wonderful time of fellowship for families and an easy way for Crew members to get to know each other. If you would like more information or have questions, contact Margo Suttner. |
