Holy Week Worship ServicesThe journey from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday takes us from the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, to the Last Supper, the Crucifixion, and his glorious resurrection. Our Holy Week worship services are a blend of Anglican liturgical traditions and both ancient and contemporary language. All are welcome to participate in worship services at St. Christopher’s.
March 25, Palm Sunday 7:45 a.m. | Liturgy of the Palms and Holy Eucharist 10:00 a.m. | Procession of the Palms and Holy Eucharist 11:15 a.m. | Easter Egg Hunt and Fellowship March 25-28, Confession In preparation for Easter, the Reconciliation of a Penitent (commonly known as Confession) will be offered on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in Holy Week by appointment with the parish clergy. March 28, Holy Wednesday 10:00 a.m. | Holy Eucharist in the Chapel March 29, Maundy Thursday 7:00 p.m. | Holy Eucharist with Foot Washing and Stripping of the Altar. This service is in the Sanctuary with congregational hymns and music by St. Christopher's Choir 8:00 p.m. | Prayer Vigil (until noon on Good Friday) March 30, Good Friday 12:00 pm | Good Friday Liturgy from The Book of Common Prayer 3:00 pm | Stations of the Cross March 31, Easter Eve 7:30 p.m. |The Great Vigil of Easter, Holy Eucharist, Rite II This service is the ancient, and perhaps most significant, celebration of the liturgical year.
