I grew up in South Bend but have lived in the Indianapolis area for over 18 years. Steve Lawson, a longtime member of St. Christopher’s, and I were married almost two years ago at St. Christopher's.
Since 2012, when I participated in the Madrigal Dinner, I have been involved in the life of St. Christopher's. This is my third year singing in the choir. In 2014, I participated in a discernment group dedicated to thinking through what evangelism means to our church. After having worked a few Strawberry Festivals, I can make an awesome shortcake. Currently, I've been working on a plan to bring a New York Times bestselling author, Glennon Doyle Melton, to St. Christopher's to speak. You'll be hearing a lot more about this soon!
My career experience includes serving as Program Director for a social service program called Healthy Families that is administered by the Marion County Public Health Department. Healthy Families is affiliated with Prevent Child Abuse America and is designed to serve at-risk families with new babies. In addition to my role as Program Director, I currently serve as a Healthy Families America certified trainer, a member of the Healthy Families America Training Advisory Committee, and the Chair of the Healthy Families Indiana Policy Committee. I have three grown children, all married and living in and around Indianapolis. When I have a few spare hours, I love to golf and I read almost everything I get my hands on.
