My husband Rick and I live in Carmel and have attended St. Christopher’s since 1996, with our two sons, Sam (21) and Topher (19). I’m a lifelong Episcopalian. I grew up attending Trinity Episcopal Church in Michigan City, Indiana.
My service to St. Christopher’s includes teaching Sunday School for seven years and then coordinating acolytes for seven years. I served on the Vestry in 2015 to complete the last year of a three-year term of a former member of St. Christopher’s. During the last decade I volunteered at a number of church functions.
I’ve have been fortunate to be paired up with two exceptional young ladies and serve as mentor as they worked toward confirmation. Some of my fondest memories of St. Christopher’s include watching my boys serve as acolytes and sharing their unique perspective on the church service. I’ve worked as a sales representative for Elsevier Health Sciences Publishing since 1990, working with two- and four-year colleges throughout Indiana. While I’m not a nurse, and the sight of blood makes me squeamish, I’ve mastered the ability to stand in front of 100 20-somethings (students) and demonstrate the features and functionality of electronic textbooks and electronic documentation software. Our family has always included dogs of various shapes and sizes. We currently have a Bulldog named Chester and an energetic Jack Russell mix named Randy. When I’m not trying to catch their antics on video, I enjoy reading mystery novels, working in the yard, cooking and enjoying good—or even not so good—wine with family and friends.
